SQC 7.1

Rektron SQC.

• Feature: It is now possible to connect the foot pedal to the IBRit-box at any time. It is also possible to connect several foot pedals for the same system. Regardless of what foot pedal is pressed, the evaluation of the current measurement feature starts. Feature: You can disable automatic updating of article and order lists. In the system maintenance are different settings for article manager, order manager and selection of order.
• Feature: More choises for measuremet filters, like in SQC reports (today, last week, etc., and shift).
• Feature: SQCDBComponent.dll is loaded without registration, which will facilitate maintenance.
• Fix: A new date was not always shown in the X-axis of the graphs (especially at month end).
• Fix: Memory leak fixed.
• Fix: Columns in lists don’t change the size when using  auto refresh.
• Fix: Addon is now loading correctly even if SQC is not under focus during opening of application.
• Fix: You can now add the device driver for generic IP on Vista and Windows 7
• Fix: you can now reduce the number of articles in the F6-filter.

Audit Trail

• Feature: New orders cannot be created until the previous order is approved.
• Feature: Orders cannot be approved by the same person who prepared the order. This is tracked with new PREPARED_BY-annotation. The above can be turned on and off during system maintenance.
• Feature: Copied data from approved orders displayed correctly on measurement value report.
• Fix: Copying of approved order is working correctly.
• Fix: More logical dialog when closing orders.
• Fix: Full name is stored in database. If you do not already have checked it off/on.
• A lot of optimizations made.

SQC Reports 7.1

• Feature: Report jobs can be exported to SQC Portal.
• Feature: You can group  on data collection plans.
• Feature: You can filter the readings at the time of day the value is created. This can be used to create reports based on different shifts.
• Feature: Custom reports implemented in the Advanced Reports. The reports should be installed in the application directory\Templates\Crystal Reports as before.
• Feature: “Register free” components are used now, which will facilitate maintenance.
• Feature: You can choose to show data based on annotations even for data with no annotation value, e.g. Group measurement values with annotation "Machine", even though not all values have this annotation value.
• Feature: "Get Measure data ..." as an alternative at the right-click on the report definition in Management. Displays selected data in the table form. No statistics are calculated, no report is displayed. Quick choice that can be especially useful when you select additional fields to be retrieved from the database.
• Feature: When defining a report, you can now select additional data fields ("Additional fields") are retrieved from the database. These will not be automatically displayed on our standard reports, but they may be useful if you e.g. export data to Excel, or when creating a custom report that shows a little more information.
• Feature: When you select an editable field, you can choose to display only the fields that you have selected.
• Fix: If the selection is not made then all storage locations are now displayed.
• Fix: Audit Trail 7.1 compatibility
• Fix: List of selected editable fields is saved even when reversing.
• Fix: "Use normalized data" is only automatically when there is a new report definition, and if you do not already have checked it on/off.
  

SQC Portal 7.1

• Feature: The portal can now be used by mobile phones and tablets - SQC Mobile.
• Feature: The portal can receive data via USB portable gauges.
• Feature: New function to create new orders in the article. You can write your own order number when creating new orders.
• Feature: The portal can now view reports from SQC Reports exported correctly.
• Fix: Registering commas fixed.
• Fix: Fix the automatic collection plans when article lacks certain collection plans.
  

SQC 7 SP1

Service Pack 1 to Rektron SQC 7 was released in April 2011 and contains many fixes and improvements:

Search for articles and order

• Optimized loading of article list when only certain articles had annotation value.
• Fix: When the lists in order and article menus update automatically, the scrollbar would move away.
• Fix: When selection of order menu was updated automatically, selected orders appeared at the bottom of the screen when there were many orders.
• Fix: If starting a measurement failed due to the collection plan not having measurement properties, the order was locked.
• Fix: User did not come back to selection of order menu after right click - choose order menu - start measurement - Esc - Esc.
• Fix: Now filters based on order status in the selection of order menu, even if you change the language.
• Fix: Errors could occur in the order list and historical trend charts for some language settings in Windows.
• Moved toggle button for selection of order menu so that it is in the same corner as to switch to article menu.
• Fix: Better error messages with errors affecting database.
• Fix: SQC showed no mode of measurement for existing orders when SQC started with parameters.
• Fix: User was not able to create a new order if the order was missing when SQC started with parameters.

Preparation

• User can now maximize the measurement properties dialog (and also the handling and preparation of articles and orders).
• User can now add default values for the name of the collection plan.
• Fix: In order preparation dialogue the 'Collection Plan' button did not move if user changed the window size.
• Selection of simultaneous loading groups (and stepping groups) now works under Windows default.
• SPS settings calculation, centering and recalculation can be default.
• Fix: SPS settings: Change to custom and back, some selections were dropped.
• Optimization: Now statistics are not calculated when the measurement properties loaded in the preparation.
• Optimization: Double calculation of statistics when altering measurement values and preparation during measurement removed.
• Fix: User could not modify orders created date.
• Added order status "ongoing" for orders published in SQC Subcontractor Portal.
• In order menu user can use Ctrl-E to get to the quick search.
• Fix: If a measurement  property in a collection plan did not exist in order, SQC would crash. This may occur after merging orders and collection plans lose the connection to the measurement properties.
• Fix: Some fixes around the SPS settings.
• Fix: Graphics artifacts in the measurement properties dialog.

Measurement value filter

• User can now set number of measurements even for the main statistics.
• If user has hanged the number of measurements of dynamic data to display, this parameter appears in bold in the statistics view.
• Fix: When user cleared the filter via the toolbar, the number of measurements of dynamic statistics did not clear.
• List of annotation values displayed in the dialogue for the Measurement value filter.
• Optimized loading the list of annotation values.
• Fix: If user had set a measurement value filter on the annotation and then went into the Measurement value filter dialogue again,the list of measurement annotations was wrong.
• Fix: If you updated measurement view (manually or from the Viewer Sync) the current measurement value filter was cleared.
• Fix: Error message when you excluded values at the measurement value filter.

Graphs and reports

• New mini-trend variant 'History Trend' which shows data from several orders at the same time.
• User can now start measuring with several mini graphs active at once.
• Fix: Scaling of graphs without tolerances.
• Fix: The distribution curve was faulty when printing distribution chart.
• Cp / Cpk is marked red in the reports according to acceptable level. Appears when printing quality control reports and histogram report as well as statistics boxes on other charts.
• Fix: Measurement value filter did not appear in the header when printing charts.
• Fix: Graphics artifacts after an alarm.
• Fix: 3-D chart, did not scroll to the last value when entering value.
• Fix: The entire 3D chart window could be red if the spread was extremely high.
• Fix: Measurement value report crashed if user had annotations that were to appear on the report and used the measurement value filter.

Statistics

• Fix: Some statistics are now calculated even if the tolerances are missing.
• Fix: A measure of tolerance could fall outside the tolerance of the histogram, mini trend and historical trends for certain specifications.
• Device for the specification, averages, standard deviation, etc. appear in the statistics view.
• Added dynamic statistics (DynCpk etc.) in the statistics view for Xbar-R, Xbar-R/Trend and 3D.
• Fix: error rates (% defective parts) were always 0% in the quality survey, the Attribute add-on, etc.
• User can set alert limits for Cp and Cpk to determine when the yellow and red warning color should be used in the Statistics window, 3-D chart and DynamiskCpk.

Measurement

• Fix: Measurement now pauses at the log, alarm summary, change of statistics, the deletion of the measured value, when reading values, viewing instructions, printing, system information, reports, go to measure capacity and measurement value filter
• Fix: If user uses the auto step and auto scan will pause automatic loading until the step has been completed.
• Fix: SQC crashed upon inspection (measurement attributes) if error types were used (Windows 7).

Machine Measurement

• Fix: Properties of the different rules could be confused.
• Fix: The path of the archive could be inaccurate.
• Fix: You can now submit post import action even in the rules (is the same as "Keep").
• User can disable a rule in the configuration.
• User can copy a rule in the configuration.
• A rule can be set as a web rule in the configuration.
• Fix: Rules are not combined properly from the definition file and rule file.
• Fix: 30 sec timeout if an external process is halted.
• Progress on each file is displayed in the console in command mode.
• Fix: user can now minimize the configuration window.

Choice of data source (SQC Menu)

• When you right-click a data source, you get to see the paths to the configuration files that are active for the data source.
• Fix: Crash when trying to configure the data source with incompatible components.
• Fix: Previously it was assumed that DATA_SETTING in sqc.ini was set, otherwise the system thought the file did not exist and a new sqc.ini would be created in a different directory.
• Fix: If sqc.ini could not be created the configuration would come to a halt.
• Fix: In rare cases, the wrong path to SQC.exe was written in PROGRAM_DIR.
• Fix: If PROGRAM_DIR was not set correctly in sqc.ini SQC would not start.
• Fix: SQC Menu was trying to create a default directory for ini files.

Configuration

• Password is required when deleting articles and orders (setting)
• Measured values cannot be entered via the keyboard (setting).
• Support for multiple license types (SQC Measurement, SQC Premium, etc.).
• You can now connect only one IBR-foot (without connecting boxes).
• Fix: SQC could crash when changing the COM port settings (sample readings).
• Fix: Problems with setting up full path to sqc.ini in a data source in the SQC Menu.
• Fix: If you used the setting "IBRIT_DRIVER" the IBR file needed to exists, otherwise a new file was created in the wrong directory.
• Fix: If the path to settings.sqc was missing in sqc.ini it could disappear in rektron.ini.

Additional Features

• Optimization of Measure Value Exclude Addon.
• Fix: An order copied by an Addon could be locked.
• Fix: Double tooltips on Addon: the toolbar buttons.
• Fix: Changes to addon toolbar where not shown when measurement was paused.
• New interface QIAdapter that retrieves data from OptoNova QI server.

Report Management (SQC Report Management)

• Fix: Better handling when connecting to databases fails. Databases are shown but with the red cross.
• Fix: Now you can always uncheck the "Use normalized statistics" in the report definition. It is up to the user to verify that data is comparable.
  

SQC 7 

• New main menu (Selection of order)
  Quick-Find Field, where you simply type in what you are looking for and the answer is presented in the results list. Search for an order, article, annotation, supplier, date, etc...
  Customize searches using filters. Choose to filter out unnecessary information or limit your selection to easier find the correct order, article and more. Filter on any information and save multiple filters for future searches.
  Customize the main menu however you want. Create a menu look that suits you. Add/remove columns, sort on certain information, and adjust layout and more. The main menu is customizable so you can work as smoothly as possible.
• Collection Plans
  Use collection plans in order to avoid making multiple preparations for the same article but for different phase in the order process. Control which measure characteristics that should be active at for example incoming inspection, continuous measurement or at each sample collection.
• Measuring filters
  Filter-measurement data in real time during measurement. Choose to look at measurements based on certain annotations, collection plans or dates. Other measurements are hidden and the statistics change to show the selected measurement.
• New mini-trend-variant, History Trend can show data from multiple orders but the same measurement property .  Small changes in the system settings for the mini-charts so you can start measuring with multiple charts if desired.
• Dynamic statistics: Number of values, and mean appear in the "Dynamic capability". This mean value corresponds to "moving average".

In addition to the above-mentioned functions SQC has also received a number of minor updates and fixes. A lot of work has been on graphical adjustments/optimizations. Added support for Oracle databases and future license-controlled system versions.

SQC 6.7

• Inspections can be registered per detail or in batches and sample size can be variable.
• Real-time updated charts: P-chart, C-chart, Pareto, weighted Pareto and Pareto cost.
• Easy navigation between the attributes and variable dimensions in the measurement.
• Attributes are prepared with variable dimensions in standard dialoge
• Quality Control Basis includes attribute data
• Categories are used to group errors, depending on their severity in order to obtain a fair assessment of diagrams such as weighted Pareto
• Inspections have support for annotations and logbook.

SQC 6.6

Compare tools, measurements and shifts. Look at different time periods, last week, this quarter or a month last year.

• Darg administration is replaced with SQC Administration. The new user interface provides a clearer and easier dialogues for management of licenses, annotations and export/import of data between databases.
• Measureproperty summary Report can now show annotations instead of formula. This is adjustable during system maintenance.
• Clearer error messages if you fail to add an add-on.
• A lot of adjustments and optimizations for clients running Windows Vista and Windows 7
• Article Menu is updated and optimized.
• New page "Article / order selection" in system maintenance. Text: "Default settings" is now called "General Settings" in order not to be confused with the "default values". Design: System Maintenance dialog has been enlarged
• Password Dialog has been optimized.
• It is now not allowed to run SQC with SmartKey, PCI card or ISA card hardware in Terminal Server.
• Test formula TEST() expanded so that if the user writes TEST (T), the time in seconds from the time the measurement was started. May be useful in testing if you do not have any measuring devices. Example: SIN (TEST (T))

SQC 6.5

• The reports in SQC has been revised with minor adjustments. When copying an order a progress bar is shown.
• Annotations are now possible to put in as obligatory. The fields are obligatory and marked with an asterisk. Annotations must be filled in, if not, there will be a error message. To activate this function, use property MANADATORY and change to TRUE for Annotation type.
• Support to clear often copied order annotations. To use this function, use the property EMPTY and change to TRUE for annotation type.
• Order can be closed (Approved,rejected,Closed) in the order menue. A Quality control report is shown before closing an order. If the order is closed, it is possible to open it up again.
• Annotation types with overview value activated will be shown in order lists and article lists.
• It is now possible to change between double-sided and single-sided tolerance for a measurement property with measured values.
• New field in the order menu where it is possible to write order numbers directly, this is primery used for barcode readers. The field must be activated in system maintenance - default settings. There is also an option to verify if the order number has to match exactly before a measurements starts. If there are several orders with the same order number, the last matching order will be chosen.
• It is now possible to create a measured value without a specification, that is, without a nominal value target value- and tolerance limits. Pleaes note that no statistics will be calculated for this measured property, it is only possible to use this for storage of measured values

SQC 6.3

• New customizable report format in SQC. With the use of Style sheets it is possible to customize how the report data (in XML format) should be presented. The reports are opened with a web browser and can then be distributed easily.
• A new version of the Instruction generator called Instant Instruction. The field used by the Instruction Generator, Revision, Gauge, Inspection Method, Inspection Extend and Comments are stored as annotations (meta data) in SQC. The instructions are stored in the database can be opened in a web browser.
• New annotation types: time, date, file path, Internet address and boolean yes/no.
• New input controls for annotations: edit box, multi line edit, combo box, checkbox and time/date control.
• New function for editing annotations for previous measure values.
• Printout of measure values for a certain annotation in Rektron SQC.
• Export/Import of a selection of articles/orders with Migration Tool to XML format.
• Attribute study according to the 3rd edition of QS9000 standard is implemented in SQC MSA/Gage R&R AddOn.

SQC 6.2

• Export of annotations to Crystal Reports and Microsoft Excel from DARG
• New version of the instruction generator with functionality to handle annotations
• A more intuitive input dialog for handling complex formulas
• More types of input fields for annotations (drop list and combo box)
• New evaluation version of Rektron SQC using Microsoft SQL Server Express
• Desktop application for displaying run-time information and instructions

SQC 6.1

• Language support for asian and eastern european languages
• Improved support for single sided (unilateral) tolerance

• Possibility to delete measure values in the middle of an order and to exclude measure values from statistics
