Support, FMEA

• Adaptation of the system to implement support for the columns “Function” and “Requirement”.  These columns act as an extension of the first column (process / component / interface) to differentiate the function and requirements. They are part of the first “process step box” and are not separate boxes.
  Columns are activated by setting the column headings in the “variant configuration”.  If a heading is left blank the columns will not appear in the project. (Note that the columns do not appear in the risk profile)
• Further optimization of the database link. Partly through better error messages when there are connection problems.
• Keyboard navigation in a box: It is now possible to switch from text box to box with <Esc>. When using <Tab> you step between the box and all text fields. When switching from the box to text box with <Tab> or <F2> the last selected text field is highlighted.
• Boxes may now have dynamic width. For example the “process step box” becomes wider depending on if the columns “Function and Requirement” are active. The fields are displayed next to each other.
• You can choose to open a project in read-only or not through the “view” window.
• Some optimization and a host of minor bug fixes have been made.

• Better handling of connection with database. Database connection in centralized in the code and revised.
• Handling of SA-account is revised to keep password secret.
• Better handling of toolbar buttons. They are outgrayed when the functionality in disabled.
• Handling of licenses and active instances has been improved
• Configuration dialogue for control plan has been improved.
• Print of control plan header is configurable. Choose between adapted or APQP standard.
• Option to hide confirmation dialogue at login.
• Size of comments field has been enlarged from 2000 characters to 6000 characters.
• Handling of data in large projects has been optimized
• Handling of data in control plan boxes has been optimized.
• Control plan box now shows status indication with color. i.e. registered information:
  no values: gray color.
  some values: yellow color.
  all values: green color.
• Print of process flow optimized in several ways:
  Subheaders are included.
  Separate steps in process flow are numbered just like in print of project.
• It is now possible to copy control plan boxes between projects. This is done through meny "System - Alternative".
• New button "Edit" as an alternative to double clicking a header.
• GUI has been updated an optimized in many ways. Among others: more space in layout, larger buttons and dialogues as a preparation for other language support, minor layout changes.
• Editing of column headers for "recommended action(s)" and "action(s) taken" is now possible.

• Overhaul of database examples and variants.
• Overhaul of users and settings.
• An entirely new control plan function implemented.
• New interface to handle control plan.
• New dialogue interface with an overview of control plan.
• Variant settings dialogue has been adapted to support control plan and window size has been enlarged.
• Database now supports stored procedure interface.
• Rollback function implemented.
• Dual severity is fully supported.  The severity with the highest number is used in the calculation of the RPN value.
• Title page printout has been altered to show the process flow.
• New layout with yellow header. Choose “yellow page header” in the print dialogue.
• Miscellaneous smaller updates and fixes

• FMEA now supports 1280x1024 screen resolution,  this is the new standard resolution for Rektron FMEA.
• Boxes in project tree have been enlarged so that it is possible to view two rows in the Action box.
• New graphics, amongst others icons and splash screens.
• FMEA 4.0 does not support "Repair and Compact", old Access database has been removed and the import/export functions and their belonging buttons have been removed.
• FMEA now supports Windows Vista OS.

• Database format has been changed from MS Access to SQL Server 2005: FMEA now works against an SQL Server instead of ACCESS database.
• The SQL Server supports both”trust connection” and SQL Server authentication. A new login dialog has been added.
• Rektron FMEA now supports the latest FMEA standard  according to QS 9000.3rd edition.
• A new field “Control Prevention” has been added to the table Control Tab according to latest FMEA standard.  It is now separated into “control prevention” and ”control detection”. 
• Changes to reports and risk profile: A new column has been added to the report to reflect the changes in the latest FMEA standard.
