The Company

Rektron AB was founded in 1982 by its current managing director Åke Lundin. Rektron was developing products but also undertook assignments as a consultant, frequently from heavy industries, within systems for control of processes and operations.

During the end of the eighties it became more and more obvious that PC-software for quality assurance within different processes would play an important role in the future, and that there were no systems available on the market that could cover all needs.

This became the beginning of a change of course for the company. The first software for quality assurance was developed in 1988. The point of time coincided with the automotive manufacturers first initiative to their subcontractors about beginning a standardized quality assurance program, for the production of parts to the coming automotive products.

 

Rektron took under the end of the eighties the first steps, that would be followed by many, as a supplier of systems for quality assurance of products and processes.
During the years the company has developed a family of software’s that are being used by the manufacturing industry and their subcontractors to control and document their quality assurance work.

We have developed our products and service according to the methods of calculation found in the standards FDA, ISO/QS 9000 and TS16949.

At present Rektron's products are efficient tools for implementing continuous improvements according to Six Sigma methodology. Due to its scale ability and user friendliness, the Quality assurance system SQC has become the object of great appreciation from operators, measure technicians, quality managers and production managers.

 

Our products can be found at the branch leaders within automobile and aerospace industry, production industry, medical devices and packaging industry. Rektron's software system complements the MPS systems used in production that are sold through SAP, Intentia, IFS, Scala, etc.

 

We are today one of branch leading integrators of quality assurance systems in Scandinavia, with a broad service span from pilot studies, development and adaptations, implementation services but also heavier consultant assignments as e.g. acting quality manager.
